New Mexico Midwives

I am currently an Intern Midwife. This means that I am practicing as a Primary Midwife under the direct guidance and supervision of my Preceptor, Jan Lapetino, RM, CPM. I have already completed a three year apprenticeship with Jan. We work well as a team and I am very honored to have her as my teacher/mentor midwife. 

There are many benefits to working with an Intern Midwife. I have been learning the art of midwifery through direct experience as well as continuous study. I bring a style of care that is both comfortable and open. An active participant at many homebirths since 2005, I understand how to help a woman give birth in her own natural way. I am an open-minded midwife, and I am constantly learning and expanding. I also have Jan there and can draw on her 30 years of experience. So, in many ways, you get two midwives instead of one when you work with an intern such as myself!

I work with Jan Lapetino out of her Denver office near I-25 and Colorado Blvd. I see clients with her there.
